Everything you can imagine...

My first canvas! I tried putting it on the scanner, but it's bigger than the scanner, so I just took a picture. I made this for my studio (and to send to Heather for my blog banner I'm giving myself for my birthday ;0) This is my grandmother, Grace, known now as Gigi. She just turned 93 yrs young last month. I'm not sure how old she was in this picture, I need to find out. The quote reads: Everything you can imagine is real-Picasso
I just painted the background in the colors I'm using in the studio. some stamps and I cut the birds from an old book. You can't see it but I took some colored pencils & added some blue to her eyes & red on her lips. Very subtle. I'm very happy with it. I'm even thinking about making another one & giving it to my grandmother at Christmas. I think she'll get a kick out of it!
