I sometimes feel as if my life is made up of broken things that have been glued back together. But then maybe it's just the kind of person I am. If it can be fix, it's still useful, I can't throw it out. Sitting on the dining room table are six things that need to be fixed. Maybe some of them will break again in the future, and then maybe I'll have to throw them out, but for now, each of them is getting a second chance at life.
Dane & I were out riding the other day and I found this beautiful spot. I just love the clouds floating by in the sky. And it was just a hint of fall coolness in the air. Beautiful day.

zorvlI so enjoyed your blog....I have to put it in my favorites! And you sound like me...it's so hard to get rid of things isn't it? I AM better than I used to be tho...:) I love to go thrifting, which I seldom get to do as we don't have much around here, I love yard sales but I never go, maybe I would if I could trust myself not to bring home JUNK! Ha! I already have an attic and basement full of that stuff...Lol!
Anyways, you were the 1000 th "heart" for me on Etsy, so you are the grand prize winner of a handmade journal! Ummm, I hope you like journals...:) If not convo me and we'll discuss what you do like,OK? Anyways, I should have your address and I'll be sending you your prize as soon as I get it made! Ha! Would you be so sweet as to convo me your favorite color? I sure would appreciate it. Favorite color or combination of colors, oh and an alternate....just in case!
Thank you so much for putting me in your favorites and your sweet convo and feedback. I really appreciate it!
Hugs ,
Donna
I think you'll have to fight me for the title of Queen of Broken Things. I tend to fix instead of toss as well and sometimes I love things more for their bumps and bruises. But, I have to admit that lately, trying to spruce up my home, and realizing how often it's my family's carelessness (mom's rules are stupid, why bother following them - like don't leave dishes near the edge of a counter, don't set things where the cats can knock them down) that causes the breakage, I'm feeling sort of sad about it. It would be nice if we could get through a day without hearing a crash. Sigh. Not that I'd trade my family (or cats) for more peace and quiet (not permanently anyway), but it would be nice if they were more careful.
